Empire of Ruin (Dirty Broken Savages Book 4) by eva ashwood

Blurb

I was a good girl once, but now I’ve got bloody hands and a broken heart.
When Julian Maduro and his wretched sister breathed their last, I thought that would be the end of it. But I should’ve remembered the brutal truth that’s been beaten into me over and over again…
People like me don’t get happily ever afters.
Alec Beckham forced me to do the unthinkable, shredding my heart with the squeeze of a trigger. And he’s not done with me yet.
The man who was responsible for the worst torment of my life has decided he wants me as a member of his secret society, a permanent player in his game of manipulation and power.
Fine, you sadistic f*ck. You want me to play? I’ll play. But I won’t do it by your rules, and I’ll do whatever it takes to win.
Because people like me don’t fall in love either. They don’t find their soulmates.
But I did. I fell for the Kings of Chaos, and now I have something to fight for besides just vengeance.
I’m fighting for them.
For us.

my review

A round of applause ladies and gents. A round of applause.
This is how it's done. An author that wrote a reverse harem series with insane steam, chemistry and devotion, darkness with reason and within reason, action, and grit.
There was no slowness for me in this final book like the previous one. It moves a great pace. All the questions are answered so no loose ends....well maybe one with Tatum. I'm wondering if the author left it like that as a potential book for Tatum to tell her story.
Speaking of potential, you have no idea how excited I am to see the Voronin brothers are up next. I was instantly intrigued as soon as they showed up on the pages. And they aren't on many of them so that's a lot of credit to the author's writing skills.
Lastly, the author adds what I consider an *almost* perfect epilogue for me. She didn't include the baby epilogue because she says she know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'm sorry but I'll drink that tea all day. Give me that baby epilogue. I won't be signing up for the free epilogue (it's my thing not to do that stuff) but if that bad boy ends up in my mail box I won't be mad.

Happy reading lovelies!
